Well, I’m coming to the end of my tour with Five TV’s production of My First Carol Concert. Fantastic production; I have been to Manchester Bridgewater Hall, Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow, Birmingham Symphony Hall to name but a few and have conducted the British Philharmonic Orchestra and the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in this concert that I also co-presented...
I had a wonderful evening last night playing to a fantastic audience at St Paul’s Chiswick. An all Russian programme (well, with the certain exception of Ravel!) which was challenging, but most enjoyable.
Well have just finished working on the opening of St Pancras International Terminal. I have to say, although I did very little at the event, it was truly an occasion I am proud to be part of. To be conducting a choir in front of the Queen was certainly something to remember for a long time...
Well had a really good gig at the Barbican in London with Damon Albarn (of Blur and Gorillaz fame…), and had a interesting chat with Rufus Wainwright and Imogen Heap. This interesting evening was called Plague Songs...
Edinburgh was certainly an experience – I ended up performing every night (well morning actually, 2am to 5am!)... Now onto the Great Composers Concert Series...
Red Cross Ball went very well. Ended up having dinner with Tony Hatch (writer of Down Town, Neighbours Theme Tune…)
