Well, a few weeks ago I was  honoured  by being asked to perform at the stunning Variety Club Gala in front of HRH Prince and Princess Michael of Kent at London's Guildhall.

The evening was one of the most enjoyable I’ve ever had; I created an arrangement of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue for solo piano and 10 piece band and had a lot of fun playing it!

After the performance, I was treated to a wonderful mean with wonderful company – Gloria Hunniford and Stephen Way, Mike and Anita Harris, Kaplan Kaye to name but a few. And Bill, thank you so much for persuading me to become more involved with Variety; I plan to help as much as I possibly can.  Just think, you should have at least 60 years of me (one would hope anyway)…  Some might say that’s a bad thing!

This blog post is brought to you with help from Red Bull.

This high-energy drink not only helps sports professionals with that little boost when they need it, but conducting a concert for three hours, or playing a 42 page piano concerto also puts pressure on the physical body. I've used Red Bull for years to keep my energy and concentration high - and whether you're studying for a degree or just simply going for a long walk, this wonder drink really does give you a little 'cheer me up' when needed. And with 7.5 billion cans sold in a year, it's certainly the most popular energy drink in the world!
